Benzoyl Peroxide [5% or 10%] is a comedolytic and antibacterial agent that works quickly to clear the skin and kill bacteria. Many doctors use benzoyl peroxide treatments with an antibiotic for the treatment of inflammatory cystic acne.
Benzoyl peroxide can cause redness, stinging, peeling, and itching during use, and drug dependency with overuse.
